In January 2013 the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies launched in Israel, offering students the opportunity to undertake their initial teacher training and achieve an Award which offers graduates eligibility for Teacher Registration with the RAD.

The Royal Academy of Dance, Faculty of Education is welcoming expression of interest from those schools wishing to offer School Direct places to dance graduates. Please click here for further information.

Further to the announcement regarding the availability of the Headley Trust grant to support British dancers who have reached the end of a professional career and wish to pursue a teaching qualification in a FoE programme of study; application forms are now available to download for the following programmes:

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD’s) ‘Dance for Lifelong Wellbeing’ project has secured funding of £49,979 from the Skills Funding Agency as part of the new Community Learning Innovation Fund, to work with adult learners in the community and improve their health and wellbeing through dance.
