Summer School week 1: Sunday 15 July – Saturday 21 July 2012 or
Summer School week 2: Sunday 22 July – Saturday 28 July 2012 or
Summer School week 3: Sunday 29 July – Saturday 04 August 2012 or
Performance Course: Sunday 05 August – Saturday 18 August 2012

Full-time (6 days a week) / £380.00 gross per week plus meals and accommodation

We are looking for a team of male and female chaperones to assist the Housemother for the RAD Summer School and Performance Course to be held as above at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in Battersea. Chaperones are responsible for ensuring the safety of all students attending the Summer School or Performance Course. The work will involve living in the hall of residence with the students.

The Summer School is for students aged from 8-18 years and classes include classical ballet, group dances/repertoire, creative dance, musical theatre, jazz, street dance and workshops.

The Performance Course is for students aged 12 years and above who are studying Intermediate Foundation up to and including Advanced 2. The course will culminate in two public performances; classes include classical ballet, repertoire, contemporary and jazz.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a willingness to undertake a variety of responsibilities including the ability to manage a demanding work schedule, using your own initiative as well as working within a team. Good interpersonal skills and having the confidence to work with children are imperative. Reliability and punctuality are essential.

An offer of engagement as a Chaperone will be subject to an application to the Criminal Records Bureau or Disclosure Scotland (or overseas equivalent) for an Enhanced Disclosure.
