CPD Summer Syllabus Workshops
Over 80 teachers from across the globe spent two weeks at the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Summer Syllabus Workshops at the University of Surrey, Guildford, benefiting from the expertise of RAD Tutors; Holly Price, Jennifer Hale and Justine Berry. It was an exciting two weeks that covered the Pre-Primary in Dance and Primary in Dance syllabus to the Solo Seal Award. RAD teachers also took part in Discussion Forums based on topics such as Dance Science, Inclusive Dance Practice and Benesh Movement Notation (BMN). Some teachers participated in workshops for the entire two weeks and stayed on campus, which allowed them to network as well as socialise in the evenings.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops. Thanks to the RAD Tutor for making the course so engaging. The group of teachers were delightful, enthusiastic and creative. Here’s to the next one!” (RAD Teacher)
CPD Syllabus Workshops also took place over five days at the Birmingham Hippodrome, with the final day focusing on the Character work from Grade 6 to 8. In addition, workshops also took place in Italy and Japan. As all workshops were so successful, we hope to run similar workshops in more locations next year.
