In this module you will build on the knowledge and understanding gained in knowing the RAD syllabus Part 1, by delving more deeply into how classical RAD ballet technique can be taught in a creative and exciting way. You will be encouraged to devise imaginative enchaînements ensuring that attention is given to qualitative aspects of dancing. You will study Free Movement and Character from the RAD’s Graded syllabus. You will be required to attend a six day Intensive Study Period at an RAD approved centre where knowledge and understanding of the teaching of classical ballet and the RAD’s syllabus is explored through practical classes, discussion and tutorials, led by Faculty of Education appointed tutors.
